„I came to yoga over ten years ago and from the perspective of time I can now see how it completely changed my life. I’m here today with you to share what I learnt and continue exploring together, so that we can all hopefully lead a more conscious and fulfilling life.“

Get to know me

Hey, I’m Marta.

I first came to yoga in 2009, while pursuing my undergraduate studies in England. It wasn’t until a few years later, after I completed my master’s degree in Scotland, that I realised sharing my passion for yoga through teaching was the right path for me.

In my younger years I had very different priorities than I do now. Growing up in the blocks of a big city set me on a trajectory of parties and unhealthy habits. It wasn’t until I found my path to yoga, that I started to realise that self-care and personal well-being should be the guiding principals of my life. I took a sharp turn and, with the help of yoga practices, began my journey towards holistic health and well-being.

For me, the practice of yoga is a moving meditation. Over the course of many years, my practice has grown to encompass much more than just time on the mat: it has seeped into every facet of my inner and outer life and has been a catalyst for transformation, leading to a more balanced and peaceful life.

Over the past years, I had the honour to teach yoga classes, workshops and retreats across the UK, Spain, Poland and Germany. I also personally managed a yoga studio in Berlin for a couple years alongside teaching. Currently I focus on guiding yoga classes online to a variety of students and clients, from private to corporate. I very much enjoy hosting yoga retreats, teaching workshops and continuously develping my personal practice.

As an avid traveler, I’ve been fortunate to study with yoga teachers from around the world. Coming from the Ashtanga background, early on I made a pilgrimage to Mysore, India and studied under Sharath Jois. However, my explorations didn’t end there. I continue seeking the wisdom and knowledge from a wide variety of teachers in the field of yoga, meditation and mindfulness. I studied under Lino Miele, Kino MacGregor, Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach as well as completed multiple yoga teacher intensives with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor. Along the way I became a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance® and now hold certifications as RYT 500, E-RYT 200 and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).

I’ve also been fascinated by human anatomy as it relates to movement practices and have pursued a scientific approach, studying with experts in the field. I was fortunate to join multiple cadaver labs and a hands-on human dissection course which deepened my comprehension of anatomy and further complimented my understanding of yoga practices.

I highly value the insights and experiential knowledge gained through a dedicated daily practice of yoga and the importance of developing a gentle approach toward oneself and others. As a teacher and practitioner, I recognise the value of the teacher-student
